This piece addresses Identity. Using a black ink, I finger-printed my own index finger 1, 131 times. Each card represents one of those finger prints. The ink patterns change with each application, yet the print remains the same. The finger-print is a method of determining identity, yet in this series each print has individual characteristics that separate it from the group. At a quick glance these prints are all unique, a closer look allows one to see reoccurring finger-print pattern.
